  1. Iwobi wasn’t aweful…

Ozil’s coat toss was an ok ranged-weapon attack…

  2. Was Jagielka offside on his goal?

Admittedly, I was too busy soaking up my spilled coffee, but still…

    1. No, Jagielka was well onside. And in any case, it was Kolasinac that kicked it to him.
That said, it was very clearly from a foul throw. I’m all for not being too nit-picky about throws at the halfway line, but that throw was better than any of our corners.

  3. Was not offside read rules on throw ins 1 foot behind line one foot on the line he fullfilled this…

    1. No. This is just wrong. Even PGMOL said it was a foul throw. The rule is poorly written. Basically you can’t break the plane on a throw. They teach you this in your first week of football.

  4. Tim you had predicted both the performance, the result and even how the goal will be scored.

Emery with his meticulous preparation did he not see this? Sigh!

    1. The team saw it and got self-defeated by the powers of statistical destiny.

But they are fine because they also read they would finish fourth.

  5. The @#$& is up with Emery’s team selection? 5 defenders? El-Neny? No Ramsey? Mkhitaryan? How has he not figured this out?

  6. The biggest positive for me was that the match was on while Kid One was opening birthday presents so I missed most of it… but no worries, like Tim said in the last post, 1) this was predicted and predictable, and 2) “we are such a weird team”.

  7. I am googling up some hot pizza stone action right now. I think I need one of those things. Twenty quid seems ok.

  8. I think Emery underestimated Everton, can’t think of any other reasons for his team selection, and picked his starting eleven with the Thursday game in mind.

  9. When you play 14 games a season more than your average mid table club like Everton for example, then you kinda have to use players like Elneny and keep half fit Ramsey on the bench.

Look, I don’t think Emery’s blameless in his team selection or strategy for away games but the fact is ,Arsenal players are very limited in what they do very well and for the most part are pretty average.

Mustafi , Monreal, AMN , Guen, Elneny Jenkinson wouldn’t get a sniff at any other top six club , aside from Guen maybe.

Our most talented player who’s on 350k is incapable of influencing games without the entire team having at least a decent showing.

There’s a reason NO ONE outside of Arsenal fan base picked them to break into top four this season.
