Theo Walcott's got guts

walguts

Just sitting here watching the West Ham v. Chelsea game (rooting for the Hammers) and scrolling through the news feeds looking for a story when I came across the photoshoot for the photo above.  I guess it’s part of a “Bowel Cancer Awareness” promotional which sounds like a great cause, but that really is a creepy photo. Click the link above is one shot isn’t enough.

There’s no real Arsenal news today, the boss thinks video evidence will clear Cesc. I’m putting my money on video evidence revealing a second spitter. He also said that he thinks the only reason Cesc is getting charged is because he wore a pleather hoody instead of a suit and tie. Let that be a lesson to all you kids; next time you “invade” the pitch after a match in order to spit on the opposing assistant manager, make sure you wear a tie.

I really hope he’s not being serious. I also hope that the FA doesn’t charge people because of the clothes they wear. Of course, this is the FA we’re talking about so I wouldn’t be surprised if his attire was a major factor in their decision.

I’m going to try to do a delayed publish blog tonight that will automatically publish at 5am PST so that you all have a thread to chat in. I’ve never done it before but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.  We’ll see tomorrow, I guess!

  1. Martin Taylor only received a 3 match ban for breaking an opponent’s leg with a horrific challenge…yet Cesc could get a stiffer penalty for, ahem, walking onto the field after a game was over.

As my dad used to say, this makes me so mad I can’t see straight. But saying this on an Arsenal blog is preaching to the converted, so I will check my tongue.

    C’mon you Hammers!

  2. It’s a very simple defence:

    a) please show us where the rules say that other members of the squad (especially the Official Club Captain) are not allowed on the pitch after the match?

    b) please show us where the rules say what non-playing members of the club must wear at matches?

No? Can we go now? Thanks.

  3. As for the spitting thing, it’s patent nonsense and will be shown up as such when Hull are asked to produce their evidence (not just witnesses, evidence)

Hopefully they and their idiotic orange manager will be relegated after Liverpool (and the ref) knocked the stuffing out of them today.

  4. The Spuds are the eternal enemy but even I feel sorry for them today after Howard Webb once again rules a penalty in United’s favor. I have to watch the game from cameras that are 100 ft in the air and even I wasn’t calling for a penalty but it started a goal blitz that pretty much hands United the title after being 2-0 down at the half. Why are England’s refs so terrible?

  5. Sometimes the FA makes it really difficult to be a football fan.

It is actually a testament for the beauty and passion of the sport, considering the shit we put up with on a daily basis from the likes of the FA, FIFA, UEFA, the EPL…etc.

  6. And you can guarantee that Ferguson wont comment on his side being lucky with that penalty decision. Even Wenger (probably the most stubborn many in the world) admitted that Gibbs was lucky not to be sent off agianst Wigan. But with Ferguson, such a penalty will be no less that his side deserve.

  7. that’s funny

Let that be a lesson to all you kids; next time you “invade” the pitch after a match in order to spit on the opposing assistant manager, make sure you wear a tie.

You are true man. Wenger is not at all serious about this spit incident and FA is not going to ban players who is not wearing suit and tie post match in the ground. Phil Brown is a big loser. Hope Tigers get relegated

  8. Aris – do you really need to ask that?

    1) Platini criticises Arsene’s youth policy
    2) Brown criticises Cesc’s clothes and latitude/longitude

    They can both fuck off.
