Abdoulaye Faye has revealed Stoke City’s shock plan to beat Arsenal today… kick them off the pitch. Holy crap, no one has thought of that tactic yet this season, well, I guess we might as well not even show up. In fact, just go ahead and concede the rest of the season, because tactical genius Abdoulaye Faye has shone his seers eye upon the Arsenal first team and found their weakness!

This is an oft repeated meme about Arsenal that hasn’t really been true for over two years that people like Faye and people who believe what they read in the British Press want to believe.
Either way, I’m not concerned about them bringing the beef, except that I really hope that none of the Arsenal players get injured. After all, Birmingham openly said they were going to “get stuck in” and we saw the result of that.
The only other news is that Arsene and William are circling the wagons.
We cannot dwell on one game. We have to stay focussed on what is ahead of us and not what is behind. We are a tight- knit unit working together with belief and desire to challenge for trophies. We can do it.
That starts tomorrow at Stoke. Unfortunately a scan has revealed that I have pulled my hamstring so sadly I won’t be involved but the boys are determined to come back with three points.
We showed our patience, commitment and skill against West Ham and we can do it again, one game at a time. We are in this race and want to stay in it and will give everything, that is the least our fans deserve. They were tremendous on Wednesday night and we want to repay their unwavering support.

I have written a comment on Oct 30 soon after the Spuds game, saying that it is Birmingham all over. It proves to be true (heartbreakingly) in the Stoke game. The Gunners’ season is almost over and it is not yet Christmas…Wenger must admit his mistake in not strengthening the team during the summer and plan for the January transfer. Better still, he should field a strong team at the Carling Cup games to win that trophy, so as to give the players confidence as well as pride again. I am afraid Arsenal will break after this poor game.
Chelsea loves to crush teams–look at Portsmouth and Sunderland. I fear Arsenal will be next, now that everything that can go wrong has gone wrong. The team lack leadership, lack confidence, there may be cliques inside the dressing room. The defence is a mess…etc..
Donald: You are correct up to a point. I think so far it looks like last season, and there are some similarities with the Birmingham game and all. But the season is far from over. I’ve said this before – and today we saw it again – the only team that can run the table is Chelsea. Everything else is wide open. Liverpool lost today. ManU was outplayed at home. (Holy crap – I am a Hull City fan now!) Next week is the chance to reclaim our season when we play ManU at home. It’s not over until the fat lady sings.
Unfortunately T-town, we don’t have the class or depth we had for most of last year and so will make it much more difficult to turn it around.
Trivia: Our payroll is now second only to Chelsea.
Thought: Our players are either “overpaid” or “under performing”.

Well, that was… uhh… I don’t know what that was. I just know that I am far lower right now than when Taylor broke Eduardo’s leg or when three amputees and a kid with down syndrome donned Sheffield United kits and kicked Arsenal off the park at Bramall Lane or when Thierry Henry left.
I don’t think I can write something chipper and doe eyed tomorrow when it’s so painfully obvious that this team is lacking in so many areas. I mean, I want to keep the faith and I love the club but literally none of the players at this club are playing at a level high enough to beat a second division team right now. And, yes, I mean Cesc as well, he was as close to garbage as I have ever seen him.
Of course I also don’t want to be yet another doomsayer, there are a lot of matches left in the season and a ton of points for grabs. It’s hard though when the only word that comes to mind to describe that performance and the supporters right now is ‘moribund.’

RvP’s red card was disgraceful to the team and to all fans. I could hardly believe it when I was finally able to watch the match a few minutes ago. At this moment, I am astonished at how quickly things have turned.
The problem is that Arsene continues to plan for the future. When will we start planning for the present. Is it that hard to understand that with no present, there is absolutely no future.
